'Beneath My Feet'

Layla Rosa and company are embarking on a new project for a family audience. An underwater tale of curious encounters, fascination with fishes, small shoes and big hearts. Originally inspired by The Carnival of the animals by Camille Saint Saens, the need for love and the curiosity within us all.
This will be a devised piece of theatrical performance and installation with Circus and Puppetry, animation and dance, live and digital music to be created and directed by Layla Rosa in collaboration with:
Circus performers Ilona Jantti, Tamzen Moulding and Katharine Arnold.
Puppeteer and Puppet Maker Jeremy Bidgood Artistic Director of Pangolins Teatime.
Rosemary Lee choreography mentor.
Poppy Burton Morgan from Metta Theatre.
Composers Ben and Max Ringham.
Designer Zoe Payne.

So far we have had a week of research and development supported by Adrian Berry at Jacksons Lane and Rachel Clare at Crying out Loud through Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe.

We hope to have a more substantial period of development in April / May 2011 which would result in 2 performances to showcase the ‘work in development’ at Jacksons Lane in Highgate and The Albany Theatre in Deptford who are partnering this project.
